Using Windows XP and Office 2007 on a home computer. Using Windows XP and
Office 2007 on an Exchange server at work. I am able to send a distribution list and a calendar appointment FROM home TO work and drag and drop those email attachments to the contacts folder and the calendar. Everything works just fine. But I am not able to send a distribution list or a calendar appointment FROM work TO home. The email attachment that is created is not something that I can drag and drop to my home contacts folder and my home calendar. Is there some setting on the Exchange server or my work workstation that would enable me to forward those items to my home system? |

The only way I can explain it is that the attachment that gets home is
represented by an envelope. When I try to open the attachment, it is empty. When I try to drag and drop the attachment to either the calendar or the contacts folder, nothing happens. When I send the other direction, the attachment is represented by a relevant icon. If I am sending a calendar appointment, the attachment icon is a small calendar. If I am sending a contact, the attachment icon is a small contacts card. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... It should work the same both ways. Is it possible that the Exchange server setup at work is causing the
problem? I can send calendar items and contact information to others on the same Exchange server network. The only time I have trouble is sending to myself at home -- not on the Exchange server. It could be an exchange configuration - they may be stripping TNEF data to
internet addresses. Try selecting the appointment and using Actions, Forward as iCalendar. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Exchange server do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=33803 "BK" wrote in message ...
