Default Problem Installing Outlook 2003

I had Outlook 95 on my computer. I then signed up for and installed Outlook
Live which apparently overwrites some critical Outlook files. I uninstalled
Outlook Live (after several months). I later uninstalled Outlook 95. Now, I
have tried installing Outlook 2003. After installation, I received a message
that the Outlook1.pst file could not be found. I let the program create the
file for me. I thoght the program was going to open for me, but then I
recieved the following message: "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to
open the Outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened". The
program then shut down. Does anyone have any ideas what I need to do to get
Outlook to work. I could do a system restore to clean up the system and
replace any missing/required system files if that's the problem, but I would
prefer not to go that route.

1. There is no such beast as Outlook 95 - Outlook 97 was its first
incarnation.
2. Did you have Schedule + on the machine prior to Outlook Live?
3. Have you tried creating a new mail profile?

After furious head scratching, Ron Bernier asked:

Actually I was way off - it was Outlook XP that I had installed. I did not
have Schedule +. I previously attempted to create a new profile (I posted a
similar question in January) but it did not solve my problem at that time. I
did a search of messages hoping to find a similar question/answer. I came
across my previous message and decided to try again to create a new profile.
This time it did work and all is well. I have installed Office 2003 Standard
edition and everything is working well.

Thank you.
