I am using Office 2003 on a Windows XP Professional computer. Every
so often (10-15 minutes), my Outlook crashes and displays the usual "Serious Error.. now closing" message. After a crash, event log displays the following entries: Event Type: Error Event Source: Microsoft Office 11 Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Description: Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8010.0, stamp 43d16d53, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault address 0x00000000. Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Hang Event Category: (101) Event ID: 1002 Description: Hanging application OUTLOOK.EXE, version 11.0.8010.0, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000. Does anyone know what may be causing this? Thanks, Jessi |

Hi, Milly:
I did try "repairing" the Office 2003 software. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it. I am not using an archived PST file, but the size of my mailbox is 59 MB. I don't know what a "scanpst.exe" is... How do I do this? Thanks, Marcia |

The easiest way to use Scanpst is to do a quick search for it on your
computer. Once you have located it you will also need to know where you PST files are. Just run Scanpst and direct it towards the questionable PST file and it does all the work. Depending on how large the PST file is it may take some time to scan and repair the file. wrote in message oups.com... Hi, Milly: I did try "repairing" the Office 2003 software.
