Not the one on the desktop, the one in the Quick Launch bar. Better yet,
click StartRun and enter

outlook.exe /cleanviews

in the Open field. Click OK.

the command line arguement is not valid. verify the switch you are using.
When I copied "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE"
/cleanview

then when i copied from open field: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /cleanview it says windows cannot find open.

then i copied without the " and open field and says windows cannot find
crogram.

Bear with me Please

Do you not have an Outlook icon in the QuickLaunch toolbar on the taskbar to
the right of Start? If not, try pasting and running this in the Run , Open
field: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /cleanview
