Just add the POP account through Tools | E-mail Accounts. Make sure you
follow the instructions that the POP e-mail provider has given you. -- Jocelyn Fiorello MVP - Outlook *** Messages sent to my e-mail address will NOT be answered -- please reply only to the newsgroup to preserve the message thread. *** "CKT" wrote: I use a computer with LAN at my office. I have created the mail a/c but does not send/receive. I think some proxy
settings or port stting is required as my computer is in a net work. Can thepop mail a/c be opened in outlook exp also in a network computer ? Many thanks for your response. Yeah, but if it works in OE it should work in Outlook. Do you get any error
messages when you try to send/receive? Are you clicking Send/Receive manually or waiting for Outlook to do an automatic S/R? -- Jocelyn Fiorello MVP - Outlook *** Messages sent to my e-mail address will NOT be answered -- please reply only to the newsgroup to preserve the message thread. *** "CKT" wrote: I have created the mail a/c but does not send/receive. Thanks!
It does not work in OE as well as Outlook. On opening in auto send/recv it shows error as well as in manual send also. The error is 0x800cccod. I have set the correct server names and it works well at my home computer which is not in network. Definately this has something to do with network settings. Pl try to solve my problem. The only solutions I have found in my research are related to the server
names being wrong. You might try this article for some troubleshooting tips: http://www2.dialmediagroup.com/tech....orCCC0DorCCC0E -- Jocelyn Fiorello MVP - Outlook *** Messages sent to my e-mail address will NOT be answered -- please reply only to the newsgroup to preserve the message thread. *** "CKT" wrote: Thanks!
