I use Outlook on my laptop to send email. I connect either via a WLAN or via
a 3G data card. When I connect using the WLAN I connect to BTInternet and send mail via the outgoing mail server 'mail.btinternet.com'. If I connect using the vodafone 3G card I cannot send mail as the BT mail server needs to be passed the Userid and Password and that does not seem to be forwarded when using the Vodafone connection. So therefore I need to dynamically change the outgoing mail server of my email Account by testing which connection is current and changing the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) from mail.btinternet.com to send.vodafone.com. Any idea how I can do this. Maybe set up two Accounts? one of which will always fail and the other work depending on which connection I am using, seems a bit of a bodge to me. -- Paul Shaddick, MCP |
