Last 2 auto updates of outlook failed to install. All other updates are
getting installed. This morning I opened outlook and clicked the detect and repair button. After the initial dispalys, it said the operation failed. I tried 3 -4 times again, but with no success. After this incident, now all office applications start only after an initial appearence of the windows installer screen, which subsequently disappears. But in the end outlook is refusing to start now, and telling to reinstall. Please advice me as to how to I reinstall, the entire office if necessary? I am only a user and not familiar with setup etc. Can I simply insert the office SBE CD and click the setup button? Thank you -- Mani |

Thank you.
However that is what I have been trying from yesterday. Unfortunately both the processess have failed with the declaration of some 'fatal error'. I do not know what is it. This has been happening even before it asks for the insertion of the orginal CD. At the end, I have chosen system restore to an earleir point, and everything seems to be allright now. Yhank you once again. -- Mani "DL" wrote: Repair the entire Office installation, either direct from Office cd or via Add/Remove dialogue "Mani" wrote in message ... If Office is installed, allthough there may be errors, and you insert the
Office cd, the installer should detect the installation and give you a number of options. One of which is to repair "Mani" wrote in message ... Thank you.
