I have Outlook 2003 setup on a terminal server. When users are logged into a
terminal session and new mail arrives they get the pop up in the lower right hand corner, and the envelope shows in the system tray, but a sound does not play. The play a sound option when new mail arrives option is checked. In the control panel I have the notify sound selected for new mail notification and if I click play, the sound plays correctly. Users are connected to exchange for mail delivery. I have tried this on users with user and admin priviledges and no sound plays for both. |
