I provide IT for a small company that has employees that are on the road. I
had to disable relaying on our Exchange Server SMTP because of issues with ISP refusing our mail because of Open Relay. When I did that, now the outside employees cannot send mail when they are at a hotel. Is there something I can modify on their Outlook setup or on the Exchange Server that will allow them to send mail from these (hotel) locations? Thanks! -- Steve |

I have used "My outgoing SMTP server requires authentication" and put in the
log in info, but that has not worked. I also just changed my SMTP and POP protocols in Exchange to accept Basic Authentication. I am waiting for a callback from one of the employees to test those settings. " wrote: mrecomm101 wrote: I provide IT for a small company that has employees that are on the road. I just got word that changing my SMTP server (on Exchange) to accept Basic
Authentication resolved this issue! "mrecomm101" wrote: I have used "My outgoing SMTP server requires authentication" and put in the log in info, but that has not worked.
