One of my clients experienced a problem today where every time he clicked on
a message in a mail folder - it disappeared. The computer is running Windows XP Pro SP2 and Outlook 2003. The mail configuration is IMAP on a non-exchange server. When a message disappears, it would appear to be deleted. It is NOT moved to the archive pst database nor is it moved to any folder in the regular personal folders (i.e. Deleted Items). When the message disappears from the click - it is deleted from the server. Nobody else is experiencing similar problems - even people with a nearly identical set up. I know Outlook is not very IMAP friendly but this is pretty ridiculous. Does any have any ideas out there? |

Are you sure the messages are being deleted? If Outlook's "Current View" is
set to show "Unread Messages", any message selected would seem to disappear when it's status changes from unread to read. One of the Preview Pane options is to mark messages read after a number of seconds. Messages are being deleted. If the same user logs into WebMail the same
messages are gone. Thanks for the thought just the same though. "Hal Hostetler [MVP P/I]" wrote: Are you sure the messages are being deleted?
