Default Why is it not possible to apply rules for alias adresses?

Setting up rules for mails addressed to a specific alias dos't work, as the
rule is applied to all alias and main e-mail address - why? It is not
possible to see which alis adress is used, when reading received mails. Any
suggestions for how to sort or handle alias adresses?
regards/Ali
