Default Auto address for Outlook

I just purchased a new notebook computer with MS Outlook installed. On my
desktop computer when I start typing a name in the To: field of a new e-mail,
after a few keystokes, Outlook gives me suggestions based on e-mail I have
received and sent. On the notebook, that feature seems to be turned off. How
do I turn the feature on?

Regards, F. Britt Harrington

You won't start getting suggestions until you've sent some messages. Outlook uses the addresses in the messages you send to build that autocomplete list.

Sue,

Thanks for the e-mail. I have had the notebook for several weeks and have
sent well over fifty e-mail from it. It still isn't offering suggestions.

Regards,

Britt

does it suggest names if you send a second message to someone during the
same outlook session? the list is not saved between sessions unless outlook
closes properly.
