I am using a computer that has the trail version of Office preinstalled on
it. The trial date has already expired, so I am left with the disabled version. I have installed and use Excel and Word 2000 very infrequently and have no motivation to upgrade those to any newer versions. I do want Outlook 2003, so I purchased it seperately, and it appears that I am installing it correctly (it asks for the product key, etc.) but when I open Outlook, the dialogue for buying the full version of Office comes up and I am unable to use just the newly purchased Outlook product key to register. I appear to be stuck in the student-teacher trial version. How can I install just Outlook 2003 and have it be fully functional? I'd be glad to uninstall the trail version, but every post I've seen suggests going to the control panel and remove the trail version from there, but it is not listed as a removable program. If I manually remove the Office folder, the computer reintalls the trial version before I can use any other Office product. Any suggestions? |

This might help.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...984891033.aspx Note that you cannot use Outlook 2003 with any older Office program like Word 2000. You will be unable to use Word as your email editor since versions must match. You also must install OL 2003 to its own MS Office folder with a Custom Install or your older version files will be overwritten. Then you have to Activate Outlook. You might need to call the telephone number for activation. "bret" wrote: I am using a computer that has the trail version of Office preinstalled on it.
