Default Media 10 download

My system is XP. When I try to download Media 10 (or any media) I receive a
message that my system is incompatible with the download. Why?

I'm not sure I get this? Media 10? Is? And this is an Office installation
problem?

I was not very explicit in the format of my inquiry. I attempted to download
Windows Media Player 10. The message received from Windows Media Technologies
during download is " This version of Windows Media Technology is incompatible
with this version of Windows". I am running XP Home Edition. What must I do
to successfully download Media Player 10?

How is this an Outlook issue?

I'd try the update newsgroup for that one I'm afraid.
