I have set up four addresses for my family and we can send and receive fine,
only we get multiple copies of the same incoming message. When I set the pop.wanadoo and smtp.wanadoo bits in servers we only get one copy of each email, but these settings do not get saved when I exit the program. When I restart Outlook Express the incoming mail server bit is changed to 127.0.0.1, and again we get multiple copies. |

You need to post to an outlook express ng, this is for outlook, a completely
different application. or see wanadoo help on how to set up OE. Your server setting is probably been reset by whatever AV app you are using. "Highland Globetrotter" Highland wrote in message ... This is usually an anti-virus (or Anti-Spam) software issue. It changes the
POP3 server name to "localhost", "127.0.0.1", or "pop3.norton.antivirus" in order to scan the e-mail as it downloads. If this prevents you from downloading mail, then the anti-virus software is malfunctioning. Check with the anti-virus software manufacturer for update or configuration help, or disable the anti-virus software from scanning e-mail. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/271951/en-us OL2000: Internet Mail Account Properties Are Changed By E-mail Protection in Norton AntiVirus 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262086/en-us OL2000: You Are Not Able to Receive Mail When You Enable the Norton Antivirus 2000 E-mail Protection Feature Hal -- Hal Hostetler, CPBE -- Senior Engineer/MIS -- MS MVP-Print/Imaging -- WA7BGX http://www.kvoa.com -- "When News breaks, we fix it!"
