I too am having this problem with Hotmail e-mail in outlook.
Regular comcast mail works ok. I had just reformatted my HD, resintsalled Windows, resintalled Outlook, brought back over my .pst files from my network drive. Then this problem appeared, but only for Hotmail. Comcast e-mail works fine. I have tried deleting my Hotmail e-mail account within Outlook, and re-creating it. To no avail. - Frustrated. "Shaun" wrote: I am having exactly the same problem - is driving me mad! I am using MSN mail through Outlook. I have contacted MSN Hotmail and they say the problem is with my Outlook! Any suggestions? IMAP and POP3 are the most common, with some people accessing Hotmail and MSN accounts in outlook. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "swandive" wrote in message ...
