Default Test Account Settings

I am able to send and recieve emails, but when I "Test Account Settings..."
it fails the "Send test email" function but is able to do all the other tests
(makes the connection and finds the server). What does it mean (does it
matter if I ;am getting email anyway)?

Default Test Account Settings

HI,
I think your problem stems from not having the "My Outgoing Server (SMTP)
requires authentication" box ticked in the email account settings.
If your using Outlook (not Express)
Click "Tools" then "Email Accounts..."
Select "View or Change existing accounts" and click next.
Highlight the account you are having trouble with and select "Change"
Then Click the "More Settings" button.
Select the "Outgoing Server" tab and TICK the box that says "My Outgoing
Server (SMTP) requires authentication" and fill out the settings/options
below that!
Once completed close the windows and perfors another test and it should all
go through perfectly!

I Hope this helps you,
Rat Monkey...
