I have Outlook 2003 and a program that requires MAPI as being compilant.
This program will make selections for email but only if my system has MAPI. Currently, the message I get is "MAPI not implemented". I use COX as a ISP. Understand the MAPI was desgined foe Micorsoft Exchange Servers. Any help available? Thanks |

MAPI is installed by default by Outlook 2003. Perhaps you have an older
program that is confused because it is looking for the 16bit flavor or the legacy MAPI spooler (both of which where removed from the Office/Outlook 2003 product). Do you have access to Office/Outlook 97? If yes, I could share with you offline what files you need and where to place to fool the application, but you would have to understand that you are sailing into uncharted and unsupported waters. Therefore, if something goes funky, you can't whine at Microsoft (or me). Oh and before I forget, do you have any other e-mail programs installed besides Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook? Reason I ask is that I've seen that error message right after someone installs Eudora and Netscape. /neo ps - if you decide to e-mail me, you need to remove the online from the address. "RGR. I don't have 97 and MAPI is installed with Outlook. The program I am using is "SnagIt" which works great except for this one problem. I have contacted the developer but no response yet. The message I get from Outlook is "Not Implemented" but no one will tell me how to "Implement" . Thanks again. Will keep on trying. |
