I realize this post is a few months old however I just felt the need to
answer the last question since no one else did. You can have the default in the address book be a shared(public folder) contact list. The only thing I can see that would be limiting is that of not being able to update the contact list with your personal contacts. This will actually still be the original contact folder. Anyhow to make a public folder be the address book default.... Go to the public folder contact list and right click and go to properties Go to the "Outlook Address Book" tab Click the "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" Hit OK Open the Address Book (A button found in the upper right corner of the screen, most likely near a text box that says "Type a contact to find" Go to Tools - Options Under the "Show this address list first" Select the correct contact list This works with Outlook 2003, I am not sure for older versions however. There is now way to have my defualt contact folder to be the contacts from the Public Folder? Both of us with to have the company's networked Contacts folder. If that is not possible, is it possible to change my colleague's default to her Contacts folder? Do you mean she wants to see her Contacts folder first? Open Address Book, click ToolsOptions and in the "Show this address list first" drop-down, have her specify her Contacts folder. -- Brian Tillman |

All you're deacribing is how to tell the Address Book which Contacts folder to search first when resolving an address. You are not changing the default contacts folder. -- Brian Tillman |
