I need to change setting but when I start Outlook 2002 it immediately starts
sending/receiving and then hangs. How do I stop this send/receive? How do I resolve this? |

While viewing Inbox, click ALT-CTRL-S and uncheck the boxes labeled "Schedule an automatic send/receive every". It is the automatic send/receive that causes Outlook to perform a send/receive upon startup. If you do disable it, you'll have to manually click Send/Receive whenever you want mail to come in. You can enable the "Send immediately when connected" option on "ToolsOptionsMail Setup" if you want mail to go out immediately even without a send/receive interval. -- Brian Tillman |
