When wanting to change a setting configured via a drop down (read only combo)
box, my outlook 2003 crashes with an 'Unhandled Exception : outlook.exe (user32.dll): 0xC0000005: Access Violation' error message. This goes for any settings. Even when configuring email related settings via the control panel, the used cpl crashes. From the event viewer: Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8010.0, faulting module user32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2622, fault address 0x000529a6. I've tried to reinstall office - to no avail, as expected. I'm running XP SP2 with all updates applied. Any suggestions are welcome, except reinstalling XP - I would REALLY REALLY hate doing that - I've a lot of software installed and it would take me several days to get back in business. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
