Default Optionally only show folders w/ new msgs in Outlook Folder List

I have many many mail folders, with many rules/filters to organize incoming
mail. It would be nice if the Folder List would only show folders with new
messages, since sometimes I don't know that I have any new messages in
folders that are not visible (because the list of folders is too long).

The New Mail Notification in Outlook 2003 (on Windows 2000 SP4) sometimes
does not show up in the system tray if an incoming mail message gets moved to
a different folder by one of my filter rules, so there are times where
several hours go by before I notice that I have an important email waiting
for me.
