I just enstalled office Standard Edition 2003 updating my old Office 97.
Outlook 2003 opens once and seems to work fine until closed - then it will not open again without restarting the computer. The message from the menu icon - when clicked is: "Microsoft Office Outlook... Outlook is not responding. If you are using an Exchange server e-mail account, you can cancel pending server requests by clicking the Outlook Icon in the notifications area, and then clicking Cancel Server Request on the shortcut menu.". This message is totally incomprehensible.. What is the notifications area??? I do not have Exchanger Server e-mail accounts... HELP!!! |

The Notification Area is the area of the System Tray that sites at the right end of your Taskbar where your system clock usually displays. Running services, like your antivirus program, will also disoplay a small icon there. Oyutlook's icon looks like a little golden clock face. Open Control Panel and locate the Mail applet (for Windows XP, find it under "User Accounts" if you're using the Category view of CP) and click. Click E-mail Accounts, thern Next. Select the Exchange account and click Remove. Add the accounts you want if they're not already defined. -- Brian Tillman |
