As mentioned, I did test the latest suggestion.
However have now discovered that if you uninstall the last Junk Mail update (Add/Remove Programs tick 'Show Updates), close Outlook, then run Office Update again to install the Junk Mail update, functionality returns. I have been having the same trouble with the junk email filter no longer
