Default Outlook.prf and personal settings

I have my outlook.prf file working fine except I notice that if I create a
signature in Outlook, then log off, then log back in and create a new email
my signature is missing. If I go into Options and signature area the
signature is still there but it is not selected to be used. I have to
reselect it for new messages etc.

Here is what I have in the General section in case it matters:

[General]
Custom=1
ProfileName=Outlook
DefaultProfile=Yes
BackupProfile=No
OverwriteProfile=No
ModifyDefaultProfileIfPresent=FALSE

You're not using the .prf file to create a new default profile every time you start Outlook, are you? That will overwrite any previous profile-specific settings, including per-account signatures.

Sue:

I'm not wanting to. I'm trying to get it so that it will only create a
profile if one is needed.

I thought this statement made sure of this:

ModifyDefaultProfileIfPresent=FALSE

The settings you have in your .prf file will create a new default profile named Outlook unless there is already a profile named Outlook present. So, if every user has a profile named Outlook Settings but not a profile named Outlook, your .prf file will create a new profile named Outlook and make it the default ... and that new profile will have no autosignatures configured.
