Default Outlook - Read Only

Office 2007 - Outlook

When I click on a email message in my inbox, it opens up in a new window.
The email in the new window is opened in "Read Only" mode. In "Read Only"
mode I can not delete the message. I have to return to my inbox in order to
delete the message.

How do I change the settings in order for the email to not open in read only
mode.

Thanks
