Default How can I let my family use the same Inbox under different users?

Each user on my computer ( 5 adminsitrators) has his/her own inbox. What we
want is one common inbox for our family's e-mail. I can't seem to get this to
work under profiles. How do I do this in Outlook? I'm running XP Home with
Office 2003.

If you are really wanting all users to share the same data you have to set
OL to the same pst (data file)
Profiles are designed so that each user's data is seperate. It would appear
you only require a single profile

Thanks for your reply. It's helped some, but I've still got this problem:
I have added the pst which is used under my user to the other user, but this
does not, unfortunately, include the use of the Inbox. Each user maintains
his/her own Inbox, which is again not what I want. How can I get us all to
use the same Inbox? or do I need to set Rules to ignore the standard Inbox
for incoming email?

With OL closed, you used the mail applet in the control panel to add the
pst, set it as default and perhaps removed any other pst?
There are no rules set up in this profile/pst?

Default How can I let my family use the same Inbox under different use

Thanks again for the help. I actually had to change the default pst in
outlook first, and then delete the personal pst from the configuration panel.

What hasn't worked yet is to use the same profile over all the users. The
profile I've made under one user doesn't show up in the configuration panel
of other users. If I can get this, then I think I'm all the way home. I've
fished around in the local settings and application settings to try to copy a
profile, but that hasn't worked.

Any tips on how to get a profile made under one user visible to the others?

If you have the PC set up with multiple logons point each users OL profile
to the same pst.
It seems like you have installed OL for each user, rather than all users.
I hope also you mean 5 users with administrative rights, rather than 5
administrator accounts, if the latter is the case you are setting up
problems.

Installed OL once for all users. But I do have five administrator's accounts,
instead of administrator's rights. That is most probably the reason. Can you
point me to links about how to set the other accounts over to a limited user,
while granting them administrator's rights?

Suggest you post to the appropriate o/s group the Q about
administrators/users/rights
I have no specific knowledge on this, other than by reading help pages

Default How can I let my family use the same Inbox under different users?

I had the same issue, but with OL2000. I wanted my wife & I to share the
same inbox where each of us would not miss an e-mail that another received
from our ISP.

I set up an outlook.pst file in under "all users" in the same format as what
the installation performed originally. (Opened a new Personal Folders file
in OL, then changed the name with Explorer after I found all the other
outlook.pst files that were installed for my family of four.)

I then had to go through each user account to set up the new "Personal
Folders" properties to make it the POP3 account for new mail. After applying
a pop-up said the new settings would not take affect until I re-opened OL.
Once I opened OL, it warned me that settings had been changed and asked if I
wanted to make new shortcuts, etc. After anwering yes, I was able to then
copy Contacts, Sent Files, etc. to the new Personal Folders. After
everything looked okay, I was able to Close Personal Folders that were the
original OL folders.

We now share a common inbox.
