I've had to redo my HDD, therefore Win XP and Office 2003 have been
re-installed from scratch. I have an archive.pst file and I've tried going to FileImport and Export and importing the file and I've also tried FileOpenOutlook Data File and select the "archive.pst" and I get an error that the file is not a personal folders file. Can anyone offer any solution? |

The pst has to be located on the HD, with read only flag off.
Do not use Import, use Open, if there are still errors, and the repair tool, scanpst.exe, cannot help then likely the origonal copy process failed "jonin6" wrote in message ... Can anyone offer any solution? If your PST is on your hard drive and not read-only, if you get the message that the file is not a personal folders file, then it is toast. If the data it contained is very valuable, you'll have to purchase one of the PST recovery tools available commercially. -- Brian Tillman |

The pst file is located on the HDD and the read only flag is off. I didn't
use import, I used Open and the same error still appeared. I ran the scanpst.exe and it said file was repaired, but there lik 97% of the data missing from the file. None of my contacts or calendar data was retrieved. What can I do? "DL" wrote: The pst has to be located on the HD, with read only flag off.
