Default Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2000

I understand that Microsoft does not support Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2000
on the same computer. I purchased Outlook 2000 professional but never used
Outlook. I would like to now, but I access work through Web Access 2003
(Exchange?). Is there a cheap way for me to get Outlook loaded onto my
computer? Do I have to buy Outlook 2003? Does Outlook 2007 have the
capability to have both running?

Do you have Exchange Server loaded on your computer? If so, it's a bad idea
to install ANY version of Outlook on this machine:

Microsoft does not support installing Exchange Server components and Outlook
on the same computer

If you do NOT have Exchange Server on this machine, then Outlook 2000 should
be installable on it and useable with Exchange Server 2003. The only caveat
would be that you shouldn't use Outlook 2003 to access a mailbox that you
normally access with Outlook 2000; Outlook 2003 changes several mailbox
parameters and this often causes Outlook 2000 to not close correctly. There
is a patch for Outlook 2000 to remedy this, should it happen:

Yes Exchange Server is loaded on my machine, so it looks like I won't be able
to load/use Outlook. Thanks for the reply.
