Outlook gives me a message that it is downloading my e-mails. I can verify
that I have e-mail by going on line and looking, since I have that ability on this account. Then after it downloads, saying downloading 1-2, 2-2 etc., It eats them. Or in other words after it donloads the new e-mail the e-mail vanishes. It's not in the junk folder or any where. I installed it over and old installation of Outlook 2003. Does any onw know what's wrong? |

If this applies to all emails, including a test mail from accounts dialogue,
then perhaps you have a particular View set "Dave" wrote in message ... Outlook gives me a message that it is downloading my e-mails. Outlook 2003 had a "Safe Senders" list, and a "Blocked Senders" list.
Apparently when Outlook 2007 installed over Outlook 2003 it took the "Safe Senders" list and would not allow any e-mail to come in that wasn't on the "Safe Senders" list. 2003 just disregarded any reject rules afflicted with e-mail received from someone on the "Safe Senders" list. Anyway I exported the "Safe Senders" list, and a "Blocked Senders" list, then deleted them in Outlook 2007. Then I reimported them. That fixed the problem. I find it totally bizarre that when I called Microsoft about this problem in Outlook 2007 that they seemed totally unconcerned. It would have been BETTER that the new program CAUSE MY COMPUTER TO FRY LIKE AND EGG THAN TO EAT IMPORTANT E-MAIL, but they would tell me what my support options were. If I had been over the department and had someone report that outlook was eating e-mail I would had the whole software department at their backend call to fix the problem. Outlook would be totally useless and face law suits for such a GROSS!!!! HORRIBLE!!! PROBLEM!!!
