kb/814111 --is the reverse of this problem
Yahoo doesn't insert the header info "disposition=inline" so there are no attachments --just body text kb/196736 The Ms Word orother MS Document construction are fine and attach Ok with Googl and Outlook and are recieved ok kb/197081 Applies to Email generated By MS Office In this case is yahoo generated Message headers display for all email except Yahoo email that has an attachement __________________________________________________ ___________________ Looks Like the Yahoo email header devevops a fault when a file is attached In a web based reader each segment would be treated as a separate attachement but outlook lumps the message and the mime together and treats the whole thing as one text Headers from yahoo are attached The first working header is a plain message with no attachement --everything ok The second Header is the header from a Yahoo email sent with an attachment. I.E. "a multi-part message in MIME format." Working header Return-Path: Received: from priv-edmwaa03.telusplanet.net ([-------------]) by priv-edmwes34.telusplanet.net (InterMail --------------) with ESMTP id for ; Mon, 22 Jan 2007 16:09:48 -0700 Received: from web62008.mail.re1.yahoo.com (web62008.mail.re1.yahoo.com [69.147.74.231]) by priv-edmwaa03.telusplanet.net (BorderWare MXtreme Infinity Mail Firewall) with SMTP id AEF7DNB65W for ; Mon, 22 Jan 2007 16:09:47 -0700 (MST) Received: (qmail 40256 invoked by uid 60001); 22 Jan 2007 23:09:47 -0000 DomainKey-Signatu a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=s1024; d=yahoo.ca; h=Received:X-Mailer ![]() b=z2cczVOD4Updgy/0VS02ikxUcc5QAtD+82e4IGLdXMbdt3W/yZQLMjp5XdOu80ultQjeYZIba9iNbZrrPu9Dcu7JzeppsmPBct 6QWKbjOpBq7btgb27OlD65m2keICs8nK20RbGjSZIviL/lBnT8jD/4QWo8DSJ2/JyvTFdqwJk=; Received: from [207.6.226.210] by web62008.mail.re1.yahoo.com via HTTP; Mon, 22 Jan 2007 15:09:47 PST X-Mailer: YahooMailRC/368.3 YahooMailWebService/0.6.132.7 Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2007 15:09:46 -0800 (PST) From: ---------------- Subject: test message 1 To: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="0-672248980-1169507386=:37043" Message-ID: __________________________________________________ ____________________ Non working header from Yahoo Received: from [207.6.226.210] by web62008.mail.re1.yahoo.com via HTTP; Mon, 22 Jan 2007 15:22:59 PST X-Mailer: YahooMailRC/368.3 YahooMailWebService/0.6.132.7 Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2007 15:22:59 -0800 (PST) From: ----------- Subject: test message 2 C/w attachement To: MIME-Version: 1.0 Message-ID: Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="0-1418317006-1169508179=:45840" This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --0-1418317006-1169508179=:45840 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="0-493080487-1169508179=:45840" This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --0-493080487-1169508179=:45840 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"; format=flowed "Mittu" wrote: Hi, You could take a look onto the links below - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814111 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196736 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197081 Rgds, Mittu "John_Morgan" wrote: When yahoo id's send to my account that I use Outlook 2000 to read mail: The sender ID and subject dissappear any attachment Mime encoding appears in the body text of the email --encoded. |
