Default Outlook reconfiguration help

I am using (and want to continue to use) Outlook 2000. I originally
installed it on a Windows XP OS with no email. Now I would like to
reconfigure to allow email and profiles. However, I cannot find a way to do
that. There doesn't seem to be a way to change the configuration. So, I
removed Office 2000 Premium from the computer, and went through a
reinstallation of same. I hoped it would start from the beginning, but no,
it doesn't. Instead it keeps remembering that I didn't select email
originally and will not reconfigure or ask to reconfigure. I really need to
have the email and profile setup. What do I do now? Can the configuration
be changed? Why is there so much remaining on the computer after I removed
the app that it won't start from scratch? Thank you.

Default Outlook reconfiguration help

Hi,

You could try the following command line to bring up the First Run mode of
Outlook.

Start Run outlook /firstrun

It should take you through the setup menu.

Otherwise, you could try going under Control Panel Mail and setup the
account in the menu available.

Rgds,

Default Outlook reconfiguration help

If I understand you correctly, you installed Outlook in the "No Email" mode
and now wish to reconfigure it to either "Internet Mail Only" or
"Corporate/Workgroup" modes. Go to "Tools|Options|Mail Services' and click
the "Reconfigure Mail Support" button near the bottom. You'll need your
install disks for this.
