I use the OL2007 Trial. WinXP-Home, 3GB RAM 2.6GigHz P4.
I cannot get the program to send or receive mail. Something has changed and I cannot find anything wrong with any setting: I have double-checked the POP and SMTP names; set OL for no authentification (ISP requirement); tried "Repair"; set everything manually, POP port is 110, the smtp port is 25...anything else...? I use the same program on my laptop and these same settings produce a working in-out connection. There must be *something* else incorrectly set. I had been sending and receiving. |

Hi,
When trying to send/recv emails in Outlook, do you receive any errors? If so, provide the error code (goes like 0x800) Also, try checking if the issue is caused due to the Anti-Virus program blocking the ports. You could follow the link below for most of the send/recv issues- http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/813514 Rgds, Mittu "Jonathan" wrote: I use the OL2007 Trial. Mittu, Thank you.. this sounds logical -- I will check it out. Eudora on the same computer gets out successfully to the same POP server. I will look to see if it uses different port numbers, and see if LinkSys provided a router management tool for aligning the port assignments with the Outlook tool. There's also the ZoneAlarm settings to examine. It takes a long time to generate the OL2007 set-up error so cannot get the error code right now. Just wanted to thank you for the very quick response!
