Default outlook 2007

i just installed outlook 2007 and i'm still running exchange server 2003 and
i'm not able to open outlook. It gives the error "cannot start Microsoft
office outlook. cannot open outlook window. The set of folders cannot be
opened. The attempt to log on to Microsoft exchange has faied". How can i
solve this?

First things first, do you have an account on an Exchange Server ?

i have an account on exchange server 2003. i just did an upgrade from outlook
2003 to 2007 and the error message came up

I believe the first thing I'd try is creating a new profile.

It was just an upgrade i did. I believe the profile should have been retained.

Yes, but there can be problems with profiles in upgrades. It's often best
to create a new profile when upgrading to a new version.
