Default Scheduled send\receive

I have used Office XP\Outlook for years and had no problem with subject. I
installed email spam blocker, Ella from open fields software co. Since then
Outlook will not check for new mail except on exit. Auto send\receive is set
for 20 minutes. I spoke with support from open fields and they have never had
this occur. I have disabled the program and it still does not check for mail.
(after re-entering Outlook).
Any solutions?
