Default Exchange Server Error Message

When I try to rune Microsoft Office Outlook, I am getting the following error
message: "Your Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable", when I click on
Work-Off Line, the next message comes up, "Unable to open your default e-mail
folder. The information store could not be opened", I click on OK, and it
shuts down. What can I do to fix this?
Thank you for your help.

Default Exchange Server Error Message

Do you have an account on an Exchange Server email system? If you don't
know, you probably do NOT have such an account. Use the Mail applet in the
Control Panel to create a new Outlook profile and do NOT add the Exchange
Server service to it.
