I just purchased a new laptop and installed office XP I had purchased a
couple of years ago. The new computer came with a 2003 trial, which I did not intentionally use. I went to download from the Office website updates for my Calender. My Activation failed(passed on XP Standard) for "no activation key for Office 2003". So, I uninstalled 2003(I was scared to do this), and guess what- now I have install errors opening up Outlook, saying "Error 1706" files can not be found installing office Standard. Hopefully a repair will help, but giving a trial unasked for, and invalidating my software for updates even when the 2002 version passes is crazy! |
