Default Trouble with imap folder in favorites -- outlook 2007

My outlook profile has two accounts.
A local exchange server account, and a remote imap account.

I can drag the inbox from my imap folder into the Favorites, but it fails to
work after I restart outlook. If I access the imap inbox from the Favorites
folder, it reports that it is a non-working folder.

This used to work in outlook 2003! Any workarounds?

When you select the IMAP folder normally from the folder list after
restarting Outlook are you able to use the Favorite Folders link then?

No, selecting the inbox directly from the imap account does not fix the
apparently orphaned pointer in the favorites folder. Any ideas on how to
correct this?
