Hi,
I have a requirement for 2 PCs logged on with the same person/username to access the same Exchange 2003 mailbox simultaneously using Outlook 2003. Would this be possible and would it cause any undesired effects? Cheers, Timjibs |

This is fine and I would recommend that you disable cached mode. (Note: I'm
assuming both are desktops that are always connected to corporate network.) "Timjibs" wrote in message ... Thanks for the swift response, neo.
Yes, both machines are desktops and always connected. May I ask what the reason for disabling cached mode is? I assume that mails cached on a PC which are no longer on the server can cause problems? I routinely use 3 or 4 computers against the same inbox... my only problem
is with junk mail - you can't disable it on one machine and have it on another so you'll get duplicates in the junk email folder and if you mark a message as not junk, the other machine might still mark it as junk. Not using cached mode on both computers will help in this area. I only use server side rules so I don't have problems with rules duplicating messages, but client side rules could cause problems - mostly just duplicates. Also - make sure both machine are using the exchange mailbox, not a pst. A pst will remove all mail from the server. ![]() -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Timjibs" wrote in message ...
