Hi,
I originally configure the IMap on outlook 2003 sp2. However, I would only get the inbox. Tried IMap folder and Update folder list, None additiional folder showed and I also have this message 'The connection to the server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this aciton". Then I tried on 1 other machine and came up with the same error. Tried to look for solution on the net but no joy. I finally tried to configure on Outlook Express which work fine, I have all the required folders. I still need to get it work on Outlook 2003 as this is the requirement. Questions are : 1. If I could configure it on Outlook Express then by theory, I shall be able to config on Outlook 2003. 2. If the inbox is showed with messages in Outlook 2003 then it should be connected to the server Then the next query is why I get the error message as above when I tried to update folder list or get access to Imap folders. Anyone would help ? |

Make sure Outlook is online (FileWork Offline is unchecked). 2. Hi Brian,
I am very green on this. Root Folder path!!!, I didn't put anything in. All I put in was information for creating user's email account. Then on More Setting, General Tab, Mail Account to put in mail server name. Other then those info, didn't put in anything else. May be my whole way of configuration is wrong. While usually this field is appropriately empty (especially if the Outlook Express account didn't need a value), it depends entirely on the requirements of the server. -- Brian Tillman |

It is empty. I figured that. The question is, though, should it be? What does the server expect? -- Brian Tillman |
