Hey Folks,
I am running multiple Outlook 07 clients, connected to 5 IMAP accounts via an Exchange 03 Server. Is there a way to synchronize the clients? I would like all my stationary, font, account settings, and Organization Rules / Colors to be the same on all clients. So if I set up on a client for all emails from Microsoft to be purple, how do I get that to automatically replicated to the other outlook clients ? On the same note, can all my IE7 clients also stay synchronized - so if I add a favorite or link to one it shows up on my other computers? Thank YOu Dave -- Just Me |

Are you using 5 accounts or 5 outlooks to one mailbox? if you are using
exchange, why aren't you connecting to it using exchange instead of imap? if you would, most of the things you need will sync with the server and be available where ever you open the mailbox as some of the stuff is stored in the mailbox. on the ie question and for stationery, no, not unless you use something like groove or ifolder to sync those folders to several machines. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "DaveB" wrote in message ... you can do it both ways... use the exchange account and create extra
accounts for each address. use it only for selecting names. This assumes all messages go to one inbox. If you have 5 mailboxes, add one exchange account to the profile and add the other mailboxes to the profile as secondary mailboxes. As long as you give the main mailbox send as permission, you just need to type the other address in the from field. This also works if you use public folders. My preference is the first method unless I need the messages separate from my main inbox and can't use rules - this is because it's easier for me to see the messages when I have one inbox to look in. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "DaveB" wrote in message ... Diane - Thank you for your time to respond. Someone else recommended that I switch to all exchange. However, when I use exchange rather than IMAP, when I go to create a new outgoing email, I lose the drop down option box as to what account I want to send the email from. My 5 accounts are etc etc. So I want to be able to send the emails originating from specific accounts. If I am missing something in the configuration please let me know what it is. So if I start playing with groove, then I wmight be able to get all the outlook clients (on different machines) to have matching rules, formats, color organization, etc etc ?
