Default Outlook 2007 not start after upgrade from 2003

I upgraded Outolook from 2003 to 2007.

After lauching Outlook, a little screen opens, showing that Outlook is
migrating accounts and archives. Suddenly Outlook closes down and an error
message appears showing:

Not able to start Microsoft Office Outlook. Not able to open window of
Outlook. Not able to open this group of files. The attempt of starting a
session in Microsoft Exchange has failed.

Should I reinstall the application?

Did you have an Exchange Server account setup in Outlook 2003?

try a new profile. or you can try deleting extend.dat, outcmd.dat, views.dat
and frmcache first.

I tried deleting all those files, without success.

If I create a new profile, how do I import my previous pst into OL 2007?

'File|Open|Outlook Data File'. DO NOT attempt to import the .PST file, you
will corrupt the new profile you create.

Thank you, Hal.

Strangely, today, Outlook opened normally and finished the migration. I can
operate perfectly. The only difference between yesterday and today is that
now I am connected through my compay LAN.

Do you think this has anything to do with the Exchange account of my
company? Will this error happen every time a try to open Outlook not
connected to the LAN or was it only the first time?

Regards.

outlook needs connected to create exchange mailboxes but as long as you are
using cached mode, it should work ok.
