Brian,

I've just found out this happens when the reading pane is open on the side.
If you turn it off, or turn it on on bottom it will show date and time.

The Received field contains the date and the time on every version of
Outlook I've used. Have you clicked on the edge of the field and dragged
it to the right to make the field wider? What version of Outlook are you
using?
