Hi
Hope someone can help. I've recently upgraded to Outlook 2007 and have configured (or rather Outlook) automatically configured from my previous Outlook client, the necessary config settings to synch and download my emails from my POP3 mail server. However, when it downloads the emails to my hd, it removes all the mails from the POP3 server, despite the 'Leave a copy of messages on the server' option of the Advanced tab of the Internet E-mail Settings being checked. This means i cannot view my home emails from the office via webmail as all the mails are now sitting on my home pc and not on the POP3 server. Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help |

Diane thank u so much, creating a new profile seems to have resolved it. I
have sent a few mails to my POP server, Outlook has dled those mails to my hd and left a copy of those same mails on the POP server. Result! My only question now is , is there an easy way of getting the emails that have been dled to my hd (nearly a thousand in total when Outlook automatically configured the initial mail profile), and deleted from the POP3 server back onto that server. Because as it stands i cant view these mails from anywhere but my home pc. Is there some way of mass forwarding them back to the server. When i select all and click the forward button in Outlook, it appears to look like it is sending 1 mail with 1000 attachments..when i want a separate mail for each mail back on the server. Hope this makes sense? Can you advise? |
