Default a 10 k word doc attachment save as ...become 13M

Hello,

I am using office 2003. I received an email with an word doc attachment of
10K.

I clicked save as and the saved doc becomes 13M. Is there any settnig in
outlook/other location to avoid this auto increase of file size.

Regards
