"None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by
your server" I have an IMAP email account for receiving mail (mail.mydomain.co.uk), and want to send emails via a different server (smtp.btconnect.com). In previous versions of Outlook this has been no problem, just set up the Outgoing mail settings to log on to the server with the correct details. However in Outlook 2007, using the exact same account settings it will not work. Why? |

Still the same process. Make sure you pressed the More Options... button and
configure the SMTP server to authentication and fill in the correct details. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more ----- "Noah" wrote in message ... No ideas on this then?
What a waste of money OL2007 is, it won't even send an email! Back to OL2003...
