Default default saving format

Howdy,

is there a way that I am able to configuure outlook 2007 to allow the
default format for saving messages to be .msg instead of .html?

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

No, but if you drag and drop messages out of Outlook into an Explorer screen
it will automatically be saved as msg-files.

Or try the Outlook add-in mailtofile. It has a SaveAs dialog for
archiving as msg by default.
The msg file gets the right date time.
Using drag and drop results in confusing file names and file date.
