I tried to setup Outlook 2007 to be my primary email program. I used the
wizard and entered all the correct info for my POP3 serverr and SMTP server. But when I finish the setup and test the settings, nothing gets sent or received because the server I am trying to contact times out. I know the settings are correct because in lieu of using Outlook, I just go to the Comcast.Net site and download and send my emails there with no problem and I am using the exact same POP3 and SMTP settings. Can someone please suggest what I should do to get Outlook to work. I tried reinstalling Outlook and that didn't work. Confusing me even more is the fact that when I got the new laptop and set it up away from my home, Outlook worked just fine but when I came home it stopped working. I am using the Office 2007 Enterprise suite that includes Outlook. Thanks for any help. Mark B. |
