OL2003 has been tested on Vista by MS and is fully compatible

I would imagine you Export your msgs from Windows Mail to OL, just as you do
in Outlook Express

Well unless you are using Exchange as opposed to pop mail, you set up OL
incorrectly
(ie you set up the accounts for Exchange instead of pop mail)
If so use Mail Applet in the control panel to delete the accounts and set up
pop mail account

If you are using a 64 bit Windows Vista, you need to enable viewing 32 bit .cpl in Control Panel.
