Without a trust, I am moving my user's mailboxes from One Exchange Server to
another. I would like to keep the same profile that my user's are using, but change the server name and the Exchange over Internet RPC over Http settings. I have tried using the Custom Maintenance wizard, and the PRF files method to no avail. To get an idea of my environment. We have an empty root forest where Exchange is hosted. My domain is a child domain of the empty root. We use basic Authentication from our Outlook 2003 clients to access the Exchange server through the RPC over https tunnel. When our users connect to Exchange, they always have to use the Domain\username format to access their mailbox. that is the nly way they can connect. Even when changes are made to the profile, we always have to use the domain\username format If I create a PRF file to create a new profile, the credentials boes pop up just fine. Once when it is setting up the profile, and again, when it is time to log in. Well, when I run the PRF file to try to "Change/Modify" the existing profile, I never get the credential prompts... I think there is a hiccup in that mechanism somewhere. The final result ends up being a backup copy of the existing profile, and the modified profile only has the server name listed, and no username or any of the RPC over Http settings that were configured in the PRF file (Again, the same RPC settings that were in the new profile PRF file). Any ideas? |
